Carly Andrew is a candidate for Masters of Fine Arts in Painting at New York Academy of Art. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio Arts and Art History at Marist College. She is primarily an oil painter skilled in various mediums and visual design. This past summer she attended a Summer Residency Program with the New York Academy of arts. Here she emerged herself in the New York City art scene as well as gain an immense amount of technical skills in painting, sculpting and drawing from a live model. She was selected to study at the Venice Biennale and created a body of work alongside other young artists in a studio space. She is well-versed in a wide range of art history. Her study abroad experience in Florence left her with cultural and artistic enlightenment. She was awarded an independent space in the Ed and Pamela Smith Studios. She is involved in the Hudson Valley art scene where she gallery attends at Magazzino Italian Art and participated in the Hudson Heritage Mural Project.

She is a determined and enthusiastic young artist looking to build hands-on experience and further her education in arts and design as well as art histories. She is looking specifically to further her traditional skills and knowledge as well as push conceptual meanings in her work. She is looking to further her studies in the human figure. Her passion for detail and her ambition to express herself creatively can be seen in her through her work.
